Re: Sound not working on my Westinghouse TV. OPTIONS., first try to reset your TV. Disconnect it from AC power, then press and hold the power button on the TV, and not the remote, for 10 seconds. After another minute, plug the set back in and press power once. Then try the other sound out from your TV to a set of speakers etc. The good news is that you can mess around with your TV settings all you. To the Westinghouse user's manual, the factory reset 'resets all OSD menu settings.

Hi friends,
I feel like I'm going nuts, but I cannot find any other resource for my particular issue. I bought this TV just a couple days ago, and I'm enjoying it very much. However, I've encountered something strange. I am almost certain there is something that I'm missing, but please hear me out.
There are preset picture settings (Energy Saving, Dynamic, Standard, Movie)....I've seen these settings before, and flipping through them works like a breeze. There is a 'user' setting that allows you to customize the picture settings (again, just as seen on most televisions). What is plaguing me, though, is that no matter what I change (sliding the brightness/contrast/anything up or down), it doesn't appear to affect the display, whatsoever. I cannot see a 'confirm' button to finalize my decisions, so I don't think I'm missing that. It's just really puzzling.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could try?
Thanks so much in advance!

Posting this here because I don't know where to put it. I searched the internet over and again and found nothing but settings restoration crap.
This IS how you factory reset a Westinghouse TV to get the Setup Wizard.
With the TV on press the menu button on your remote.
While the menu is displayed press the 0 button four times.
This should bring up a new menu with factory reset as an option.
You're welcome.
Mods please move this to where it needs to be if this is wrong.
Peace.......................
